The upstairs bar offers a great bar facility, large TV, comfortable couches, great fishing memorabilia and a decked veranda with wonderful views. The lodge is in a beautiful location at the foot of the Sani Pass.
Couldn't catch a single fish, but hey, who needs fish when you can enjoy the view and pretend to be an angler?

the staff at the lodge were extremely helpful and made sure we settled in comfortably despite the difficult road conditions due to heavy rain. the weather improved during our stay, and waking up to crystal blue skies and a stunning variety of wildlife was a breathtaking sight. the lodge provided delicious breakfasts in the clubhouse and the dinners delivered to our lodge were excellent and generous. We also took a 4x4 tour up the Sani Valley Pass, which I highly recommend. I cannot express how much I loved staying at this nature lodge and I am already planning to return. Cons: Could not be improved. 🌟.

Wonderful lodge with stunning views of the Drakensberg mountains, a cozy bar area for sports lovers, and the opportunity to visit the Highest Pub in Africa with a 4x4 and passport. The lodges are luxurious and offer both all-inclusive and self-catering options.
Oh, and let's not forget the small Mkomazana River, perfect for birds that never showed up. Such a disappointment.

The cabins at this nature retreat are absolutely stunning and incredibly spacious. The sound of the bubbling brook just outside adds to the jaw-dropping mountain scenery and breathtaking lake views. The offroad drive to the lodges is an exciting adventure. The breakfast was super delicious and the hot water jacuzzi was incredibly relaxing. Being able to see zebras up close was mind-blowing and when it rained, the cozy fireplace provided a warm and peaceful gathering point. The privacy and peaceful sleep were just what we needed. The staff went above and beyond, rescheduling our stay after a hospital visit at no extra charge and their thoughtful touches like candlelit dinners and turning down our bed made us feel like VIPs. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay with better luck fishing.

We hit the slopes and practiced some serious snow skills on the epic slopes. The Club House was lit with its undercover area that could even fit our whole squad of 60 people. And let's talk about the fly fishing - there were so many opportunities, it was like fish everywhere! Plus, they're all about catch and release, so we know we'll have great fishing for years to come.
The only thing we'd ask for is a better nightlife scene for us young party-goers. We had an awesome time during the day, but it would have been even more off the hook if there were some cool parties or events happening at night.

We loved our stay at Sani Valley Nature Lodges! The cabins were beautiful and spacious, with a cozy fireplace for those rainy evenings. The views of the mountains and lake were absolutely breathtaking, and we even had zebras come visit us at our cabin. The staff, especially Gareth and Sabelo, were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.
The breakfast experience could have been improved with more variety and options for milk with coffee.

Our stay at Sani Valley Lodge was exactly what we needed - peaceful and relaxing. The staff, especially Gareth, Silindile, and Pinkie, went above and beyond to accommodate us when we had to reschedule our stay due to a hospital visit. They even set our dinner table with candles and wine glasses each night, turned down our bed, and stocked the fireplace. The views over the lake were beautiful, and we loved the jacuzzi, modern kitchen, and underfloor heating. We will definitely return.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
